Product Description:What's funny is that this whole idea stemmed from a board graphic I did for Sweet Skateboards somewhere back around 2018. It was the belated tail end of a "Stereotypical Euro Fashion" series I'd done for them, circa 2013, where I'd wanted to add a fourth deck with a viewpoint of how someone from Europe might stereotypically imagine an American would look. I thought it was going to be over-the-fucking-top, what with the fat bastard all decked out in red, white, and blue with patriotic accents all over and an AR15 accessory item, but fuck me running if I didn't see this exact same character running willy-nilly throughout Capitol Hill on January 6th, 2021. Anyway, the black tee I'd drawn for Captain USA depicted a beaming Jesus waving a flag and giving the thumbs up. Nick thought this alone was a good graphic gone to waste in such a throwaway manner, so I recreated it with the intent to release a board and tee on July 4th as a tribute to satire. Well, two things happened in the meantime: 1) We learned a tad too late that our tee printer wouldn't be able to finish the job until late July; and 2) The United States Supreme Court overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling with disconcerting undertones of Christian-Conservative things to come. So yeah... JESUSA! Blaze it with satirical pride, but save it to wear as camouflage to skirt under His eye if and when the Divine Republic of Gilead brings the judgmental gavel down.—Cliver
